Howard Webb a former premier league referee, best known for referring the world cup between Spain and Holland in 2010, came out with an interesting revelation this week. Howard surprisingly described Arsenal as the easiest team he had to referee. He felt Arsenal lost their mental strength as time passed and were often bullied during their games. He added that they would, «react in a really obvious, a really naïve way. I thought they were too naïve as a team.»
Arsenal players have developed a reputation for simulating ‘play-acting’ injuries also, which is also thought to add to their reputation as a softer team.
The bad news continued for Arsenal manager Wenger, who recently turned 67, his team failed to deliver the birthday present he had hoped when they drew 0-0 against Middleborough.
